AldoCoat 660 Thermoplastic Coating Repair
Product Description
ALDOCOAT 660 is a thermoplastic copolymer butyl rubber elastomeric vapor retarder coating uniquely formulated for the protection of metal, aged BUR, wood, concrete and other substrates. The ALDO proprietary formulation incorporates elastomeric rubber and selected additives tested for compatibility. Once cured, this liquid applied polymer provides an exceptionally durable, seamless, flexible waterproofing membrane that resists cracking through excellent elongation properties. As a result, it allows for thermal shock (normal expansion and contraction) that may take place within most structures. ALDOCOAT 660 Butyl provides valuable UV protection and offers superb resistance to any moisture penetration.
Recommended Uses
ALDOCOAT 660 Butyl is recommended as a protective vapor barrier coating to a wide variety of substrates, including metal roof decks, aged BUR surfaces, cap sheet and selected primed single ply systems. This product has the ability to withstand ponding conditions (standing water beyond 48 hours) in low slope situations. ALDOCOAT 660 is an ideal choice versus water based products during the cooler seasons offering a wider window of application. It also contains a strong rust inhibitor, eliminating the need for a primer coat over mildly rusted metal surfaces.
