Aldo Coatings has broken ground on its new facilities in Salisbury’s Whitney Industrial Park and renovation of a 30,000-square-foot home for manufacturer of coating products for roof restoration and repair. Founded in 1980, Aldo Coatings has been operating in a facility in Kannapolis, N.C. where it manufactures a popular line of roof coatings, sealants and primers for restoration of commercial roof systems.
“We have grown our business dramatically over the past few years, and this new facility is a key component of our plans to continue to build our roof coatings business and to always meet the needs of our customers,” said company President Bob Brenk.
Aldo’s new facilities designed by architect Pete Bogle will more than triple the square footage of Aldo’s current facilities and will include new office, manufacturing, and warehouse space as well as a research and development center and areas for training and storage. Construction of the new building is being done by LaFave’s Construction and began in early 2017. Grading for footings and the building pad have been completed. Completion of the project and move in are slated for later this year.
